What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, device identifiers) work the same way; this policy covers them all and calls them "cookies".

How we use them

  • Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and secure: signing in, remembering your cookie choice, language, security, load balancing. They need no consent and cannot be switched off.
  • Preference cookies remember choices you make (for example display settings). Used only with your consent. We set none today.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Used only with your consent. We set none today; if we add analytics, it runs only behind your consent and is announced in this policy first.
  • Marketing cookies measure our ads or show you relevant offers. Used only with your consent. We set none today.

Nothing except strictly necessary cookies is set before you choose. In the banner you can accept all, reject all or choose per category. Rejecting does not limit your access to the site.

In the app (/app) we use only strictly necessary cookies; the cookie banner does not appear there. The app also keeps its offline start screen in your browser's storage so that it opens without a connection; it holds no personal data, and your clients' data is never stored there.

The cookies we use

From our consent manager's cookie declaration (29 October 2026):

Cookie Provider Purpose Category Duration
cms_consent aiactaudit.ai Remembers your cookie choice strictly necessary 180 days
cms_session aiactaudit.ai Keeps staff signed in (only when they sign in) strictly necessary session length set by us, 7 days by default
cms_mfa aiactaudit.ai Two-factor sign-in step for staff strictly necessary 5 minutes
app_session aiactaudit.ai Keeps you signed in to the app (only under /app) strictly necessary session length set by us, 30 days by default
app_mfa aiactaudit.ai Two-factor sign-in step in the app strictly necessary 5 minutes

No preference, analytics or marketing cookies are set today. The table on our site is generated from the consent manager and always shows the current list.

Changing your choice

Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page to change or withdraw your consent at any time. We ask for your choice again every 6 months or when we add new cookies. Our cookies last at most 13 months.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies may be set by our providers (listed in the table once they are used). Their own privacy policies apply to their use of the data; we choose providers who process data in the EEA or with the safeguards described in our privacy policy (https://aiactaudit.ai/privacy).
